Listening to a UDP Socket using PHP...

Basically I have already setup XAMPP.

I am planning to make a server on my PC that would listen to a UDP socket using PHP+XAMPP.
I have an embedded webserver, to which I will make it a client, that would continuously send data packets (using UDP protocol) to the server on my PC.

I am currently reading,
Socket Programming With PHP - PHP.

If there is someone here that have try this, please please please enlighten me.

try lng ug himo sa virtualbox w/ linux din dha e install imong server(listener) din saimo windows ba kha imong client server...pro dli mani ideal bro ky maski imo pana e 0 ang timeout ky mo timeout gyapon na ang browser

experience kaayu ko sa Socket Programming but sa Java ko bro..
same ra man ang concept while reading the codes, not sure sa behavior bro..

Hehehehe mangtas diay ka kaayo ani bro.

Ako plan bro naa ko'y data logger ug temperature, water level, etc...
Then i-connect sa ENC module then i-send ang data sa server sa usa ka website.
Plan nako gamiton UDP kay simple lang and naa nako working codes sa ENC:




Pero i-simulate lang una nako sa ako PC.
As if ang PC nako ang website using PHP+XAMPP.

Naa nako daghan na research sa net pero TCP man ang ginagamit.

Sayon lang ba ang java bro if mao ako gamiton sa server? Thanks!!

Para nako, mas maka sabut ko sa Java, kay mao akong na-andan pag college, bisag karon nag gamit gihapon ko,
og wala pa ko ka-gamit pud sa PHP nga socket..

ang main concept ani is dapat naa ka server-code and client-code.
Ang server mao ang mo-initiate, diri ibutang ang listener,
unya mag create og Socket og sa PORT mo-agi ang commands nimo from clients.

ang client na ang mo-hatag sa command, kelangan kahibalo ang client sa server ip address og port, then send lang ang command.
halos same lang gihapon ni sila og procedure but igo ra ni siya mo-send.

kung maka-open na ka og PORT kay mo-lock ni siya, so ayaw gamit og common ports like port 80 (http).

hulat nalang siguro ta sa expert sa PHP ani diri sa Socket Programming. tabangan lang nya tika sa akong kaya..
