hmm actually naa na thread ani.. check the DSLR talks thread..

choosing between the two,it would all depend on preference.. which cam your comfortable with or what camera brand imo na anad. research lng before investing cause canon may have some lenses that nikon doesn't have.

if i were to choose with the 2 camera models you mentioned, i would go for the nikon D90..

@nogiebear I suggest you try asking your friends first kung unsa ilang system nga gamit. Asa ang mas daghan ug Canon or Nikon. Then ask them why the chose that brand. Kay kung features lang sa respective products daghan man reviews gud you can read by googling. Mas dali pa gani na kaysa buhat ug thread para mu ask ani nga question.

Ngano importante ask ka sa imong friends? Aron kung palit naka DSLR maka hwam ka sa ilang gear or you can get hands-on tips and tricks on how use your cam to the fullest. Kung imong friends puro Canon nya ikaw ra mag Nikon, way kay kahwaman ug lens, flash etc.

Then ask yourself how much are you willing to spend.

Nya unsa man imong gusto i-shoot? Kani nga part importante later on kay mu determine ni sa lens na imong paliton. If plano lang nimo kay general shooting and upgrading is almost zero, go for the cheaper one with kit lens. Both brands are reliable bitaw.

Pero para nako, go for D90. Gamit kaayo ang duha ka command dial when changing aperture and shutter speed and other settings. Di lang ko mo comment sa 500D kay wa man ko try niya.

read reviews about the 2 brands lng bro to have an overview of which one has good IQ for you..lahi2 mn gd ang preference sa mga taw, ayaw lng pagpalit og cam tungod kay mao gnhn sa uban taw or unsay uso..research bro..

as for me lng ha, i had a canon film slr before so anad nko og canon and i prefer canon because of the lenses (or tungod nlng sd kay naa nko lens daan before i bought the dslr, so sayang mn sd ang lens nko na canon if mupalit ko og nikon body).. =)
