    Default Vista 32-bit vs 64-bit?

Just reformatted our laptop, and I downloaded a 32-bit version of Vista.. It installed fine and accepted our product key.. It was originally a 64-bit when we bought it.
is there anything i will miss by using 32-bit?
I heard that 32-bits only support a max of 3GB RAM. Our laptop has 4GB.. will the 1GB be wasted?

only if you have subscribed to micrsoft products. For example, if you have MSDN subscription, you you can download microsoft products when you log in..

32-bit systems only have this many addresses for it to allocate to RAM and other devices - 4294967296. the upper portion of this address space is reserved for your devices like graphic cards therefore the system can only allocate less than 4GB for RAM.

i don't know how to get an individual subscription. In the company i work in developers like me were given MSDN subscriptions that cost about $2k each and were given access to downloads like xp, vista, 7 OSes and other softwares. sad to say we weren't actually making use of these privileges..hehe
