Processor: Q9550
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF

First would be budget. Wait? It doesn't matter? Ok then get the one that performs better. ATI 4870.

@DrE, sir, u think (1) 4870 performs better than (2) 4850s on crossfire?
i know a lot of reviews between the two can be found on the net but I just want to know your personal opinions.

another problem boss is akong CASE. I don't think mofit ang 4870x2.

the reviews are a better source of info than my opinion kay I dont own any of those cards. I would also suggest looking at the x2 versions of those cards but since you only asked between the two, gilimit rasad nako ako choice. The 4850 crossfire is by no means a bad buy/performance compared to the 4870. Both are good cards. Its just a matter or budget cap nalang ang deciding factor for me.

your P45 board is not ideal for crossfire... you have to first upgrade your board to X48... pwede ra pud ang X38, either nila, capable of 2 16x nga pcie slots... while ang imong mobo is only one 16x pcie and the other is 8x... limited ang bandwidth sa isa... therefore, mas hinay imong crossfire, whether 4870 or 4850...
after upgrading your mobo... then choose two 4870 for crossfire... labi na kung dako kaayo imong monitor gamiton... mas effective and ddr5 sa 4870 when it comes to high resolutions... if money is not a problem, then go for the extreme... buy two 4870X2'sLast edited by fish; 08-21-2008 at 08:07 PM.
