HELP: internet sa office

got a problem sa internet sa office esp:

1. istorya (cannot log-in)
2. ymessenger (cant see chat mate's cam)(bag o pasad ko nakaconnect kay i configured the proxy settings..)
3. cant use my torrent downloader / limewire
4. friendster (any account with last login from the workgroup can still be opened and edited by anyone, bisan sa laing computer)
5. cant connect to tantra servers, kutob ra human login (hirit pa jud ug games)

i think this is a proxy problem. the question is:
1. is this a security feature or
2. just a faulty setting.
3. can i get through this with just configuring my pc/workgroup(i dont have access to the proxy, but only to all computers in the workgroup)??

naa tanan internet connection..
comps in the workgroup are using ie7, im using firefox3(i configured the proxy settings to make it work)
all problems occurred before and after the firefox3 change.
i have no idea unsa ila network structure.

about sa YM bro... di mo pariha ug version.. basin ikaw nag ver.9 na nya siya ver.8.. so naa jud mo bblema ana bro.. about sa security settings bro.. ask lang ko nimo kong ikaw ba ang technical diha.. or ikaw ba ang system administrator?

i just downloaded the latest version.. same with the my chat mate's.. ako mga kauban sa office mao sad reklamo..

to tell you frankly, ako mao admin ani na workgroup, bag ohay lang jud bro. havent asked the seniors nako ani, i wanna fix this first.. with your help of course hehe..

theyre also planning to change our proxy, hopefully mawala nani na prob, but for now.. is there another way around??

Naa problem sa ISP nyo bro.

na-a mo router aneh? or every pc nimo gi configure then deritso na router/switch --->> internet

usa ra neh ka network? or na-a mo lain department?

1. reset your browser to its default settings dont put any proxy,

2. if you are using branded routers like cisco try to look your firewall settings or access group list/access list

and much better if you can show some network diagram, para ma determine nato asa mo agi imong data from your workstation to server then internet...

coz it might be on the server para ma control na mga friendster, ym, limewire, istorya.net og uban pa nga site nga kalingawan during work hours

but the best thing you can do is try to co-ordinate with your senior admin basin iya gyud nah gi toyo...

mao jud.. kay basig kanang torrent downloader ug limewire kay matakdan virus inyo server. he's just doing his job to secure the system.

maybe the network administrators are restricting your internet access. That's what they do here in our company, I cant visit some sites like friendster, multiply and etc.

google and use IPMSG

its faster than YM when transferring files thru LAN. kung local area network ra ha.
