Explorer.exe problem

Hello,

Just want to ask unsa problem sako computer... everytime mu-log-off nako ( even naka-close na tanan applications, then wala man sad koy internet connection) mu-prompt sa screen ang "ending explorer.exe..., end now , close" . pirmi lang pud nako i-end now aron mahuman dayon. then i-shut off na nko ang computer.

Any idea unsaon nako aron dili na mu-prompt ang ending explorer.exe?

by the way.. I don't know if this one is related but I experienced explorer.exe too..
hhhm... probably a different problem.

here's my story:
Long ago, I received a file named EXPLORER with "folder icon"
Like ordinary folder if you hide file extension names.
If you unhide extension names.. then I saw "exlorer.exe" with a "folder icon" .... it's a virus, fooling ordinary users with just a folder icon.

Effects ----> disabling windows performance, hiding other window's options and settings, and hiding some buttons, slowing OS performance...... and my personal favorite, 100% CPU usage all the time.



A simple TIP to all pips out there......
*Unhide extension names In that way, you can check if the file/data is suspicious or not.

i'll try it tonight, thanks. but i already run anti-virus software several times and it has no virus found. Yes, it slows down my PC ( though it is new ) but it doesn't disable anything.

Hmm, some antivirus cant detect spywares, malwares and adwares... wit wiw!

One more thing, something is running on your background that hadn't stopped yet... possibly caused by spywares... etc...

What AV Software are you using?
Do you have any Anti-spywares?

saon nako pag-unhide ang extension names?


gi-check nko ang task manager, there are around 28 processes pero wala pman koy application nga gi-gamit. i already run Mcafee AV, pero wala man virus.

My Computer -> Tools menu -> Folder Options -> View Tab

My computer is for development stuff... I don't bother much about it, I had 42 Processes or more occured everytime... hell yeah.
Depende kung naa gi process, if ang nag process is spyware or virus, then that could be the problem.
