A man jumped to his death in a shopping mall in Jiangsu province in China after a furious row with his girlfriend who insisted on prolonging a five-hour-long shopping trip, the Daily Mail reported.
According to the report, CCTV footage showed the couple wandering around various shops in the mall until the 38-year-old victim, Tao Hsiao -- who was carrying the bags for his gal pal -- demanded to go home.
Eye-witnesses heard them argue about where to go next -- the man wanted to leave, but his girlfriend wanted to check out a sale on shoes.

A witness was quoted as saying the man told the girlfriend she already “had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more”.
The girlfriend then accused him of spoiling Christmas.
The fight came to an abrupt end when the man was seen throwing his shopping bags on the floor, jumping over the railings, before landing seven stories below.
Reports say he was killed immediately from the impact of the fall.
