There are always whackjobs. Did you even look at the numbers? You do know that there are over 300 million people in the US right? There are more people in the communist party than in these petitions and there are more people signing real petitions than in these petitions. Now let us move on to something that is real.

Most of these petitioners are all in red states, i guess NY is trying also, which is one of the most lucrative state. How could U.S. deal with these? if i'm a citizen i would definitely move to thailand...

Plus there is for the most part no state that can stand alone. The economy, resources, power grid, water of all states are interconnected. The only state that can viably secede is Texas and that's a long shot.
