The explanation is actually quite simple--someone can hoarde a lot of his friends/cohorts to dislike someone else's post even if the post was legit--barkada power ba. Bottom line, dislikes can be abused. While it is true that likes can also be abused in this manner, but abusing a dislike has a more damaging effect on the target victim.

i totally agree why dislike is not necessary. simple ra jud kaau, if u have nothing good to say, keep it to yourself na lang. tinuod kaau na ang barkada power. mas daghan mas powerful ang feeling gud. in my case, my ex can easily tell his friends, e dislike rana nga thread. and the more dislike u got, it makes you feel bullied, like what u said is not true at all because a lot didnt like it. sounds really unfair
