    Default Theoretical Sciences

he's a mainstay in Documentaries as the go to guy for theoretical physics and what could be. He has a program in Discovery Called Sci-Fi science. Science fiction has lent itself to science at certain times. While we have yet to encounter truly sentient AI like C3PO, LT Commander Data, and other such lovable machines the 3 Laws of Robotics first put forward by Isaac Asimov in his fictional works is considered a good guideline in Mechatronics and Robotics fields.

And so dear mods and admins i submit that you allow a science fiction thread in the science area under the heading theoretical sciences. After all isn't theorization and formulating hypotheses the fundamental steps of the scientific methods. Even Galileo was know to carry out, "Thought Experiments"

    Let more nose bleeding ensue.

    Default Re: Theoretical Sciences

At times, we do allow threads that dip into science fiction. However, I have personally observed that more often than not, these discussions are "a-foot-jammed-in-the-door" for topics of a more pseudoscience nature. Because of this, we are more vigilant when it comes to topics that what to "appear" as if in the guise of a harmless science fiction discussion, but actually are spreading false science in the name of science. I will create a new thread defining pseudoscience soon, to clarify this issue.
