Good Day fellow istoryans!
I just wonder how many USB owners here have their USB flash drives gone bad? A lot of big companies (Transcend, Kingston, Sandisk etc.) claim that some of their USB flashdrives have LIFETIME Warranty, but here's the catch, when you buy any USB flash Drives from any retailer store, they tell you warranty only is 3-6 months. I mean how is that?
Heres my story,
I purchased a transcend 4Gb USB Flash drive from a retailer in SM more than a year ago, eventually it quit working, so I checked the website--- wow! my USB flash drive has lifetime warranty, so they have a tool in the same website if your USB flash drive is authentic. yes it's authentic. I emailed transcend on the RMA process- they refered me to the distributor, when I called several times. they told me a lot of things. that i have to go to the retail store where i purchased the Flash drive, i went to the store, they told me its only 6 months warranty. I spent multiple emails to the distro, not a single reply...
Whats totally wrong is why would big complanies claim lifetime warranty, where in retailers would only say 6 months warranty. Im no longer pushing for a replacement for my 4GB but what if i got a 16GB or 32GB flash drives im sure i would like to have it RMA'ed.
Your thoughts on this one mga istoryans!
