I've been with my bf for almost 2years now.

Just recently, my mom forbade me from going out with my bf. She told me to break up with him for the most shallow reasons -- his physical appearance was bothering her (or her sisters!) He's short and too thin daw. I told her NO, and we ended up fighting.

Right now, my bf and I are still together although it's now hard for us to see each other. But we're determined to fight for our relationship and we're even planning to get married on 2011. For now, my mom thinks we broke up already. And I think she's planning to talk to me again about this sometime soon..

I plan to talk to my mom about me choosing him by next year. (If I do it this year, I know she'd say I'm rushing things, etcetc. I also can't move out of the house just yet.. My bf and I agreed that live-in is not an option.)

What do you think? Should I continue to fight for our love or should I listen to my family?

fight for your love but I guess jumping into marriage won't solve the problem.. we have the same experience girl, my entire family hates my bf.. they won't allow me to see with him and wanted me to avoid him, but still I disobeyed them and continue to communicate and spend time with my beau.. think about it.. marriage is not as easy as you think it is..

Yeah, I've told her that already but she's really stubborn. She thinks she's always right. Hai. I don't really know how to deal with her..
