    Default GMA-7's Case Unclosed

Case Unclosed investigates 2006 Wowowee tragedy

Seventy-one people died and many others were hurt when a stampede occured on February 4, 2006 on the first anniversary celebration of the noontime show, Wowowee.
For several days, people set up camp outside Ultra in Pasig City in the hope of securing themselves a spot in the show and wishing to be one of the winners of big prizes the show promised to give to lucky viewers.

A problem arose when the crowd swelled to around 30,000 because the venue had a capacity of only 17,000. When people were told that not all of them could be allowed inside the venue, the mob started pushing and shoving until a stampede occurred. Join Rhea Santos as she investigates the incident and talks to one of the victims.

Three years have passed but some of the victims still cry out for justice. What has happened since then? Find out on Case Unclosed tonight, February 5, after Saksi on GMA-7.

i just don't get this network war jud... just because it can make one channel look awful in the eyes of the public hala grab jud sila sa opportunity. what if other channel will do this like BBC or CNN at least klaro ayo wala sila gdapigan and they are transparent when they do the news or report...

as to those victims sa stampede, la man gane ghatagan og justice kana mga priso na frame up lang, and how much more when they are combating with the biggest network in the Philippines...

life must go on for them, whether they like it or not wala na sila mabuhat ana they just have to move on and make sure na-a sila food sa ila lamesa kaysa gutomon sila mo asa sa wala.

a desperate move to pull down wowowee. yes, three years na and the case is already within the courts. what more can they expect? dugay man jud na ang resolution sa mga courts bisag asa pa ka nga lugar. wa man sad tingali pasagdi sa ABS ang mga pamilya sa mga victims. it's just that maybe out of envy to the noontime show, they would do everything to eliminate the competition. unsaon nga wala na may major sponsors ang competition. observe the other show. in my opinion, it's one of the dirty tactics of GMA to pull somebody or a show down and they call it "demolition job".
