Why Do It?

I took a long hard look at all the months (years na in fact), that I've been posting in these boards, and yes, one thing stands out--whenever I feel like the rest (or the majority) of the posters are for this idea that I find absolutely absurd, twisted or just plain wrong, I make a point to really make a stand and tell everyone that there's some serious flaw in their logic, and that I'd feel compelled to keep on posting ideas that would run in contradiction to their views and let them "see the light".
But then again, I ask myself--why do it?
Am I doing it because I really care?
Am I doing it because it feels good to know that you know something that other people don't?
Am I doing it because I have nothing better to do?
Am I doing it because I feel superior than everyone else?
Am I doing it because I feel as if I'm being trampled down by a mob of mindless idiots who only follow the "flow" of things?
Am I doing it because I fear that if I don't, the world will be doomed?
No. Don't be ridiculous Rodion, the world will be fine even if you had a stroke, or got hit by a car, or zapped by a gamma ray burst from a distant supernova, this very instant.
The world will go on being what it is, because I am an insignificant insignificance, in this totally magnificent, almost inconceivably huge place we call the universe.
But the question still remains...will I keep on doing it?
Probably, yes.
Why?
Because I can.
