Recreating bin Laden's Abbottabad Hideout in Second Life

In probably one of our fastest build operations ever as a content creation firm, my Avatrian teammates and I (three of us are iStoryans) reconstructed Osama bin Laden's Abbottabad Hideout in the virtual world of Second Life.

We also created a video (machinima), a less-than-serious reenactment of the Navy SEALs assaulting the compound, which I will post in this blog entry as an update in a few days.

We're not trying to win an Oscar here. We just want to showcase how virtual worlds can be used as rapid-development platforms for detailed animated sequences like as depicted in this video.
