Craft and Sip Along with Cebu Crochet Group's Beginner Crochet Workshop

What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than learning a new hobby in a cozy cafe with a fantastic city view and good company? Cebu's crochet community (CCG) held its first workshop of the year on March 16, 2024, to celebrate Women's Month at Oakridge Horizon's Cafe. Eager participants of all ages interested in learning the art of crochet filled the venue.


The registration fee of Php1000 included a crochet kit filled with all the yarn and supplies you need, as well as a booklet with instructions on making a friendship bracelet and cord holder. Not to mention, the workshop also comes with a buffet-style snacks and refreshments table.


Miss Sarah Palmares, the group's coordinator, and the facilitators guided their students through the fundamental stitches and techniques. Soon enough, everybody was busy crocheting their projects and idly chatting with other members. At the end of the workshop, we went home proudly, bringing along our creations entirely made by hand, new friends, and a skill set that would last a lifetime.
