The bamboo plant and its versatile uses take center stage during a festival at Ayala Center Cebu from Sept 18-24.
BambuFest 2023 will showcase the uses of bamboo, from groundbreaking architectural designs to avante-garde fashion statements, giving local bamboo weavers a platform to demonstrate their skill and craft.
Organized by the Philippine Institute of Architects - Cebu, headed by Architect Bryan Auman, the event promises a week of inspiration, learning, and appreciation.
From art exhibitions to hands-on workshops, BambuFest 2023 delves deeper into bamboo’s sustainability and versatility and how it transforms landscapes, lives, and industries.
Known for its resilience and strength, the woody plant has also become a symbol of innovation, cultural heritage, and sustainability.
To fully appreciate the various uses of bamboo, here is a list of activities throughout the week:
