Gracing the Cebuano Stage for the First Time in History

Cebu City welcomes its first major event celebrating Arts' Month with the staging of "Daddy Long Legs,"—an Off-Broadway musical based on the romantic and literary classic—brought to the Cebuano stage by the Cebu City Government through the Office of the Vice Mayor in cooperation with Vaudeville Theatre Company, Studio Evision, and Fo
Guang Shan.


Daddy Long Legs is a heartwarming musical and romantic coming-of-
age story told through the written exchanges between Jerusha, a witty and charming young lady, and her mysterious benefactor— based on the novel by Jean Webster that inspired the classic 1955 film.

It is a "rags-to-riches" and a coming-of-age tale of newfound love. The production will feature an intimate cast of only two actors who will be accompanied by soaring melodies played by a three- instrument live band in an enchanting two-hour-long, two-act full musical.

Joining the cast will be award-winning Cebuano actor and director Chris Eli Razo, and multi-talented theatre actors and singers Fatima Soria (Kim from "Miss Saigon School Edition" Cebu), Yna Cajipe (Anne Frank in "The Diary of Anne Frank" Cebu) and Emman Casquejo (Jesus in "Jesus Christ Superstar" Cebu).

Daddy Long Legs - Cebu will be directed by none other than Vaudeville Theatre Company's founder and artistic director herself— Penny Ong, who is known in the local theatre scene for putting up professional world-class productions that highlight Cebuano talent.

As something that has never been seen on any Cebuano stage before, the show is not just a beautiful story but a very rare and unique theatrical journey that will definitely be enjoyed by all who watch it.


The award-winning Broadway musical "Dear Daddy Long Legs" is coming to Cebu on February 3 to 5, 2023.


Tickets are priced at P500 for free seating. For reserved seating, guests can choose between P1,000 for premiere seats and P1,400 for premium seats.
