Default Getting a new Hobby (Remote Controlled Cars)

I know lots of people here are doing RCs already so I would like to ask some help.

My friend and I are going to start a new Hobby (which is already posted in the title) starting this February and we have been doing some research on what to get like the Car model, a good RC, batteries, engines and other stuff that involves RCs.

I would just like to ask some pointers from you experts on what are the good parts and other important infos that will make our venture into this new hobby worthwhile. I have been going to tamiya asking a few things but Its better if I get more info from you guys. Hope you can help us out on this. Thanks.

    bai firebase,

there are different kinds of rc cars to consider:

    - rc drifting. 1/10 rc cars w/ realistic & detailed body shells going sideways w/ d use of drift-specific tires (pvc or tamiya super drift tires).. electric powered (meaning batteries, lipo or nimh 7.2v). drift track is located at portside, recla. every sat and sunday afternoon ang schedule. this is the cheapest rc hobby kay walay maguba dayon.. magaras ra cguro ang body shell..

    - short course 1/10 2wd trucks.. desert trucks ni sila. again electric-powered.. race track is located at banawa.. sunday afternoon ang schedule.. medyo mahal kay daghan gyud maguba..

    - rc touring. 1/10 cars actual racing w/ grip tires. (wala nay gaduwa kay no racetrack)

    - nitro powered trucks. gas-powered. no need for specific tracks.. can be played on an open field.. some used to play right across parkmall in recla.. mahal kay gas and maguba gyud after sige bashing..

its up to you what u like among these rc cars.. hope nakatabang ko ninyo maski gamay..
