    Default VIDEO CARD PCI-e

What video card is more value for money for now?

What I was thinking to buy is the
    Geforce 8600GT 256MB DDR3 128bit costs around 4K
    Core Clock (MHz) 540
    Shader Clock (MHz) 1190
    Memory Clock (MHz) 700
    Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 22.4
    Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec) 8.64

    Geforce 8600GTS 256MB DDR3 128 bit around 6k
    Core Clock (MHz) 675
    Shader Clock (MHz) 1450
    Memory Clock (MHz) 1000
    Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 32
    Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec) 10.8

They have close specs but the price difference is around 2k in the market right now

Which one can you guys recommend me to buy value for money?

how about ATI? give comments please...

both are good buys...but this all depends on your budget. If you're like me...a mid-range gamer, i'd get the 8600gt because i don't play games all the time...and i'm a bit of cost-conscious..hehe

most reviews say 8600gts was a disappointment at that pricepoint. ati 3850 is similarly priced against 8600gts and performs much better.

okay i briefly looked at newegg and saw a price decrease in the 8600GTS ($150-180), thanks to the 8800GT (which is inflated to above $200). hd3850 is priced around $160-under $200 but look at these charts:
