    Hello guys.. tabangi ko...

sa CPU, GPU, NB og asa pa nako ni xa itaod?

    and how?

can someone help me or give me a link where to start..?

I have few ideas on how to install these probes, but I don't know if sakto ba..

should I stick it under the HSF sandwiched sa HSF and processor?

or just on the base of the HSF?

I'll be testing Zalman MFC2 for my fan controller..

    thanks daan sa mga motabang..

try monitoring your case temps also using the 4th probe. assuming you're using an axial fan on your proc, you can position it just right above the center.

about where to mount a probe, just stick it where the hottest temps are expected and where it doesn't go between the heatsink and the device it is cooling. don't sandwich it between a processor core and heatsink for example. i think the probe might be thin enough to be squeezed between a processor's ihs such that it doesn't interfere with the ihs and heatsink contact area.

for vcards, i've tried sticking them to the part of the part of the heatsink that is directly above the gpu core, but on the top side of the heatsink. be careful to route the wires so that it doesn't interfere with the fan's airflow.

i know pictures would help a lot but i made those mods when i was still using a p4 northwood. that system is already long gone...

thanks blade4638... I'm kinda picturing things out on where to stick those probes right now..

    Thanks sa tabang..

btw, how to monitor the case? placing it hanging @ the center of the case?

what i did before was stick the probe such that its "head" is above the processor fan's hub. how you mount it is up to your imagination c",) i did this so i could see how large the difference is between case temp and the other temps i'm monitoring (if difference is small, ventilation is good and hsfs are appropriate for their tasks)...
