how to remove AUTORUN.INF from USB???

Mga techies out there...how do you remove this virus from a usb?

i tried the google but no good.

what i tried:
1. replacing the autorun.inf with a blank textfile which was renamed to autorun.inf and replace the old one... no use
2. cmd, changing attribute of autorun.inf then delete... no use
3. format the usb ... no use

anyonw who can give me some effective steps

how do you remove this virus from a usb?

Try to install mcafee and bit defender anti virus... mcafee can remove the affected autorun.inf from virus, then try to format the usb. hope this will help..

bro, download lang og antivirus (ClamWin) its free ra man bro. just google it or www.softpedia.com

first, reformat your USB but reformatting would not kill the virus yet.
then install the ClamWin anti-virus to your USB then run it with your USB as target directory.

have been affected with the same virus and my USB is already clean now.

bro go to folder options then select view then click show hidden folders then uncheck hide protected operating system files then ok. rightclick the usb drive then click open. makit an na nimo ang autorun.inf and ibang files na possible mga *.vbs files. delete them all. then ok na.

2. If you want to remove the infected file from drive C: then type C: then press Enter.
3. Type "autorun.inf" and press Enter.
4. Type "del autorun.inf" then press Enter. The file is in the drive but not showing or you can't delete it now.
5. Now type "attrib autorun.inf -s -h -r" and press Enter.
6. Now delete the file by typing "del autorun.inf" and press Enter.
7. Restart the computer.

@andruid i have bitdefender but no good...mcafee too...still there..

@chiphazard ... thats the one i mean in step 2 that ive tried. not working. lain guro ni nga version nga autorun. balik ra dayon after few sec.
@john yo yup...i thinks thats the prob. pero searching for the autorun.inf in my pc. drive C ug D does not show me the file...of course na show all hidden nasad nako.. i also have a software to undo all of those permission block thing
