The $85 billion economy grew a seasonally adjusted 0.6 percent from the second quarter after a previous gain of 1.4 percent, the government said today in Manila. That was slower than the estimates of all five economists in a Bloomberg survey, where the median forecast was a 1.5 percent expansion.

Philippine population growth is around 2.0%

The Economy is growing 0.6%

This will just push more people below the poverty line.

I posted this to warn people if there is continued slump in the economy there will be more people that will go hungry.

When the difference between the rich and poor is so BIG....... Civil war can break out....

I see. Then that's good news for me. I've always thought that leftist or equivalent are nuisance.
I've also known many NGO's who had helped in community development which are not connected with a political organization. And that's good news for me. Unfortunately, my friend told me that some cannot penetrate rebel infested areas for some reasons. That's bad.

One thing. I don't read propagandas from any organizations. I read mostly forums and some technical articles related to my job.
