ddr memory will automatically clock itself down to the highest supported clock rate by the ram slots. in some cases though (especially ddr2-800 sticks on a 533 slot) the computer wont turn on/POST because the slot cannot power the necessary voltage.

ask pud ko mga bro..my mobo can support a ddr2 667 memory pwede crucial ballistix nga ddr2 800 ako ibutang for future upgrade like changing my mobo wd gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R...clock down ghapon ang ram sah? e oc pwede ba? my current mobo is asus p5l-vm 1394... help mga bro ky magpada ko sa ako maguwang para xmas gift...hehe
