Job as a college instructor - is it rewarding? hard? challenging?

Hello Istoryans,

I have just finished my Master's degree last year. Most of my officemates asked me if I will transfer to academe already..but I'm still hesitant until now..can anyone give pieces of advice or tips how is it like as a college professor? btw, I'm a little bit shy and my struggle really is speaking in front of many. can anyone help? thank you.

ayaw lang sa jumpship dayon. mas maau try lang part-time sa.

based sa ako experience, lahi ang academe kay ang imu oras mao pud dapat imu work.
after sa masters nako, 3 years ko nag part time as college instructor handling 15units/sem. (equivalent 15 hours/ week) sa weekends.
while naa ko 8-5 regular work sa weekdays. For me rewarding ug maka improve sa imu self mag teach esp pag strategize to simplify imu gi teach para dali makasabot bisan pinaka hina na student, kaso lang kapoy lang jud. mao lang akoa. unlike sa regular work nako pwede ta maka strategize na sa morning lang ta banat work then sa hapon laylo2x na.
sa academe demanding lang sa time. esp if bag o paka mas need nimu preparation na taas.

so test lang sa thru part time. if pang sir or maam ka. then ok ang academe nimu.

Mas relax ang college instructor karon kay mahitungod sa Outcome Based Education. Bali learner centered na sya compare sa una na knowledge based where ang instructor talks a lot and work a lot. Primero ray lisod ana. after 2 years nimo tudlo you bacome masters of your own trade and less preparations naka.

You will also learn a lot than your students.
