Question US Presidential 2016 election ... will it affect Ph affairs if a Republican or Democrat President is elected in the US?

the United States presidential election of 2016 is scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2016

i can say it really affects Ph affairs specially if a Republican US President is elected

kay i can still remember during the time nga nakadaug si Obama then President GMA was trying to contact him to congratulate for being elected as the 44th President of the United States pero mura lang gi-ignore ni Obama ... perhaps thinking nga President GMA when she was still VP and during the leadership of Pareng Erap, the Ph sided more with the Republican Bush

so i guess perhaps the PhilAms to keep consistency that if i may suggest should elect US President that is more concerned with the Ph affairs ... that another Democratic US President in the White House would be beneficial to the Ph state affairs?

Let's put it simply like this:

When a Democrat is elected, and is asked how to handle the RP-China row:

"We're 3000 miles away and we don't give a sh!t if China @ss-rapes you or enslaves you back to stone age. But we can negotiate peace, bilateral talks and all those bullcrap. We hate war! But we are still behind you"

When a Republican is elected, and is asked the same issue:

"Let's find a good reason to invade China and make her wish Mao Zedong was never born. How about another WMD? Or the Chinese Cyberattack? Or a Chinese plot to murder Americans?
This is the U.S. of A. baby! We have 10,000 Nuclear warheads, All hail the mighty 7th fleet. This is war!"

I guess if the interest of the USA is on the line any president whether a republican or a democrat would readily react. Well, the resources of the western hemisphere is somewhat on the brim because of economic saturation there are big possibilities that they will turn their attentions towards this part of the globe and that will be the time pure intervention will come.

looks like i agree with you bai bleedingboi that though one voice can't be generalized as the party's statement but Republicans are so vocal about WPS
