Did you think those pics were taken at the apollo 11 landing site? You couldn't be any more wrong.
The picture that you used in your post was NOT taken at the site, it was taken during the 5th orbit around the moon (earthrise as seen from LUNAR ORBIT, as stated in the pic you provided and also the video i posted earlier). (OR YOU COULD CHECK THE MISSION LOGS TO SEE FOR YOURSELF,). It wasn't even anywhere near the landing site.
You also said the pics were taken "minutes" before landing. You are mistaken again.
You misinterpreted "shortly before" with minutes.
Your whole premise was wrong to begin with.
btw, did you find the answer to your thermosphere dilemma yet?
