    Default i3 vs i5

    good day mga cebuanos!
ask nasad ko bah, unsay nindot na processor ug PSU for these kinds of specs:
    VC - Sapphire HD7770
    MOOB - P8H61-M LE
RAM - (planning to get 6g)

unsa puy advantage ug disadvantage sa EOL na i5? naa man gd ni offer nako ani medyo barato jd, kaso ala koy idea if this is still good for gaming since EOL naman pag search nako

    thanks

^ unsa man ang current games ug ang planned games na duwa-on? if you have the dough to burn, i suggest you better get the i5 para ka isa ra ang gasto... next upgrade would be your GPU na lang. if limited ang funds, that i3 (granting, its a SB, IB or Haswell micro-architecture) would suffice your need...

unsa man ang model number sa EOL na i5 ang gi offer, i assumed, that would be a Sandy Bridge one... ok pas alright ang mga SB micro-architecture to date... got 5 CPUs based on the SB micro-architecture (i5-2550K, i3-2120, G840, G530 & G530T) that are running on all of my rigs here...

    Go for i5 (quad core).

Unsa model sa i5 ang gi offer sa imo Bro?

    @ TS,

ah i see... if you're into video editing, get the i5... it is much more faster than an i3 on that specific work load...

kun sa imohang games lang na gi mention, pwerteng kayaha ana sa i3... pero, kun mag edit ka'g video, dugay2x sya kay dili man sya "true quad core" CPU... sa video editing work load, the more physical CPU cores, the faster is its processing...

    i found Intel® Core™ i5-650 Processor for P 1,750..ok pani?

that's too far back nah. but if you really need to and wala nah gyud kay lain ma.budget sa build, then go ahead.. but the mobo is not compatible with the i5-650, also, dont expect the same performance with modern i5 processors. it wont bottleneck a 7770..
If you can increase your budget, get a newer I5.. but if you cant, change the mobo nga compatible sa procie.
