LG GSA-4163B Super Multi DVD Burner stops burning.....

can anyone help, when i burn something Data or DVD to DVD its sudenly stops writing its like when its 50% or 83% its still counting down and the burning stops and my DVD burner keeps on blinking an im using Nero 6..my record buffer level starts normal reaches 99 then it slowly drops down to 54% and it stop sometimes 15% and stops burning but the time keeps counting down and when it reaches 0:00:00 nothing happens only the drive keeps blinking and i need to restart my computer so that i can open my DVD drive...help me anyone hope im making any sense...pls help me

a few questions...
1. firmware version of your drive?
2. the same behavior on all media brands?

i have the same drive and haven't encountered any problems with it... btw, is it still covered by its warranty? if so, try taking it to the shop where you bought it and ask their help.

its A104 firmware version and its kinda weird when i use the Nero 6 not the Nero Express there it will stop burning but when i use Nero Express although its the same as the Nero Burning Rom.exe "something" it will burn..probably i need to format my computer or something.....yup it still have warranty..

isolate the case first. you may start with reinstalling your nero.
