There are advantages like better components, more features, additional ports and higher overclock potential ( irrelevant for most ). There is also bragging rights.


Is it worth the money to upgrade MOBO?

Depende sa imo needs. If any of those factors I've mentioned above meets your intentions then yes else your better off sticking with your current mobo and maybe upgrade your card if your asking for more performance.
