    Default Computer Course for College

I need some help in deciding... I want to get a degree in college that is related to computers. I want to focus more on websites and multimedia. I like to work on special effects, and those other things and elements you see on TV. In other words, a course that is art-inclined -- digital arts, etc. But I prefer taking up a computer course than fine arts. What is the best course for this?

At first, I'm aiming for BS-Information Technology but when I tried to look unto it, I think it's more on networking. BS-Computer Science is more on programming. BS-Computer Engineering is on hardware which is the least thing I want to handle as of now between the three. So, I don't know if there are other courses or perhaps those of you that's already working in their respective fields can shed me some light on the matter. Thanks.

bro i suggest u take up a short term courses on Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Director, and perhaps video editing like Adobe Premiere or Vegas-- its the trend nowadays you just finish schooling in less than 6 months, you will learn more of the tricks in the real world, when you'll work in the multimedia industry, goodluck!

    Help me on this one...
When you say, "MULTIMEDIA INDUSTRY", I can only think of working in a TV studio like ABS-CBN, GMA, etc. Where else can I possibly work in? Like specific Cebu-based companies? Can you list them please and on what work/jobs they have? I really am too green for this one.

School doesnt counts if you're really good at something. Mangita man gud ka pamaagi to learn it's your desire. Your hunger for knowledge and to exceed from others that drives you.

Ako course? gamit medyo pero gamay lang. After college you'll even learn much more thru yourself. By reading and watching tutorials and applying it everyday. Practice! Learn! Apply!

One last thing for websites. If you really want to be good at something.
    Pick a path...

If your good at numbers/conditions/patience at large codes = developer/programmer
If you've got a good taste in Art/Colors/Concept/Ideas = designer

You can't be good at both pero rare na jud na. Even if you are. Projects will be a burden in the ass if you're the only one making it "Rambo" style. Hehehehe.

    So choose your destiny carefully.

bro as early as now na undecided paka, try visiting guys who are already doing their stuff like, multimedia artists, programmers, web developers, or i.t. professionals etc so they can advise you.. just remember that its nice to go into something that you would be interested and happy doing for a long time, not just for carreer's sake, and I'm sure you will go places!
