Although I admire his commitment to the Lord, he can't use it as an excuse to stop his education; he's going about this in the WRONG way. rennyvonne, you are correct in saying there are others who want to study and get an education so they struggle mightily but your friend has the good fortune to have a family that is PROVIDING him with the opportunity to study (Nursing no less). Personally, I have experienced wanting to stop school and just get a mediocre job but let's think realistically. Eventually a person will think "What if I finished school, could I have gotten a better job?"
I agree with silent-kill and sparrow; let your friend stop school and get a job. Let him realize what he really wants. Just make it clear to him what you are feeling about his decision.
