I'll start. My device is a 7" phone running on ICS. First thing in the morning when I wake up, I run Philippines News app. Sayon ra mangita ug headlines for the day from MB, PhilStar, Inquirer, GMA, ABS-CBN and even the local Sunstar Cebu. Then throughout the day, I have my messengers running like Skype, MSN and YM.

OT: Major blocks that drain the battery fast are the screen, wireless and media. The best way to save your battery is to configure your device at optimum setting. like screen time out and brightness. What I do is I switch off BT and WiFi when not in use. Also 3G/2G when I dont need to access the internet.

For system monitoring, I prefer Elixir. You can monitor CPU, memory usage, storage space, battery, etc.
