Default HELP! how do i recover files inside a folder?

    good day fellow istoryans!

a few weeks ago, i moved my documents folder to a different drive (drive D) so that it won't be a hassle in moving my files when i reformat my pc. i also checked the option "make this folder private" so that i'm the only user who can view the files.

then problems within my computer system came, so i had to reformat my computer

    here comes my problem:
when i open the folder i moved in drive D (my documents), it says "access is denied"!!
i can't open the my documents folder which i saved, most probably because of the option that i checked...

do you guys have any ideas/suggestions/options/advice on how i could recover my files?
please help me... thanks a lot..

those are called orphaned folders/files. ka experience pod ko ana sa una. fortunately nay simple solution ana.

1 boot to safe mode. and log-in using an account with admin rights.
    2 open windows explorer
3 right click on the folder that you want access to.
    4 click "properties"
5 click on the "security" tab
    6 click on "advanced"
    7 click on "owner"
8 add/change the owner to your desired account and check the option to "replace owner on subcontainers blah blah..."
9 click ok and it will transfer the ownership to that account and you should be able to access the files when it's done.
10 enjoy your pR0n again! bwakekekek
