Netwise, a Tokyo-based web design and online marketing agency, has opened a new development center in Cebu. We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Part-time Account Specialist

Summary
The Account Specialist ensures the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s books of accounts. He/She prepares payroll, accounts payable, posting of entries in accounting software, bank reconciliation, schedules/reports and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with the financial policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

● Overseas payroll, inventory, accounts payable, and aging receivables
● Ensures compliance on all government requirements and remittances
● Prepares monthly bank reconciliation
● Prepares monthly financial statements, journal entries and reports
● Record keeping and tracking of expenses
● Post Entries in accounting software
● Prepares other reports needed

Required Skills & Experience

● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent in education and experience. CPA a plus
● 3 Years general accounting experience or 2 – 3 years as an Accountant with a proven proficiency in performing moderately complex accounting activities.
● Experience in Financial Applications or any Accounting System.
● Knowledge in General Ledger, Payroll, AR or AP processing, Bank Reconciliation, preparation of Financial Statement, Bookkeeping.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to understand inter-relationships of various accounting functions and systems
● Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
● Detail oriented, excellent follow-through skills, strong English language verbal and written communication skills.
● Effective time management skills, ability to work independently, familiarity with US currency.
● Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
● Analytical and should have an eye for details.
● Strong interpersonal and communications skills.


Salary
Commensurate with experience and capabilities
