Vic Sotto has a brother who is currently a Senator and related to Vicente Sotto and Filemon Sotto who were recognized as one of the best politicians in the history of this country .

I don't know about Alma Moreno's knowledge in politics but I know she married Joey Marquez who had a brief stint as a mayor in Paranaque . She is active in community outreach program in her city though .

We should give these people the benefit of the doubt . They may have different reasons as to why they're entering politics . Could be because they really want to help changing their constituency a better place , money or both . At the end of the day , Philippines is still a democratic country and ANYONE can run for office .

the fact that they are connected or related to a family of politicians doesnt make them (suppostedly) more qualified than anyone else.. but sad to say, being popular is more important than efficient for the job
