There is a reason why it's called history because it's a thing of the past. IMO, this history nonsense that China is trying to pull off is just an excuse in an attempt to claim Scarborough. China knows nga dako kaayo ang natural gas and oil reserve diri so that is why they, and other neighboring countries as well, are doing their best to claim the island. Kung wala ni sulod ang Scarborough, dili ni moabot sa ingon ani kagrabe ang tension, especially between RP and China. Taas kaayo ang demand for power and China, being one of the biggest countries in the world, kinahanglan gyud na nila and they want it cheap. At the same time, considering the content, pwede pa nila na isupply sa ubang countries and that will boost their economy. That can be said for Philippines as well provided that maayo lang ang pagmanage. This, in fact, has the capability of pushing the Philippines back up to economic recovery fast.

So is Scarborough worth fighting? A big YES. Aside from the reserve, Scarborough is rightfully ours so why not fight for it? Kung naay kawatan mosulod sa inyong balay and tell you nga kuhaon niya inyong appliances kay siya kuno ang tag-iya ato, would you simply hand it over to him or fight for it? The same with RP and China. If China will get what they want, the bullying will continue and it will get worse.
