GLPI linux based inventory system cannot connect to lan.

Guys need help po, paano po ba i connect yung glpi to other existing computers, we tried to configure the ip address, we checked and it matches man, we are actually using a ubuntu 11.10 running on a virtual machine.

You need OCS Inventory NXT and have it integrated with GLPI. However, OCS will do just fine. GLPI just give you other "perks" in the inventory. Next, setup the OCS client to all (desktop) systems across the network in your organization. Please note that when you configure the client it should point to your server where your OCS server resides. Consider the gateway, VLANs, routers, and firewall permissions if it blocks any http communications from the desktop systems to the server.

Btw, if you're running the OCS server on a virtual machine check whether the network communication is NAT. Is Ubuntu running on top of another desktop machine?
