Best Route to Alegria Cebu from Bacolod City

Tabange ko ninyo please! our family nag plano mag meet mi sa alegria this coming holy week. Ako family from bacolod, mag drive ra.. asa ang dapat nila agian na dalan going to alegria cebu from Bacolod city? and asa pud na port sila sakay? di man gud mi sweto sa oriental na dalan?

All the transit times are approximate and depends on a lot of factors.
You can choose between the two options.

1. Drive south to Kabankalan City then cross (left turn) to the oriental side via Mabinay until you get to Bais City then drive to Amlan (total of 5hrs). Ferry from Amlan to Samboan, Cebu (0.5hrs). Drive from Samboan to Alegria (1 hr).

2. Drive to San Carlos City via Don Salvador Benedicto (2hrs). Ferry to Toledo City, Cebu (1.5hrs). Drive from Toledo City to Alegria (3hrs).

For me, Ill choose the second as the views along the route especially in Don Salvador Benedicto is very nice. Downside is the ferry's rolling fee in San Carlos to Toledo crossing is more expensive compared to in Amlan to Samboan. Also, there are only 3 roro trips daily for the San Carlos - Toledo crossing compared to the Amlan - Samboan which is almost every hour.

btw. I'm not from NegOr but I have done the Cebu-Negros Occidental-Oriental loop a couple of times.

correct si bro boordz. the second route is the best option. though, I have to add. bacolod-donsalvador-sn.carlos-toledo then here's the tricky part, you have two choices 1. from toledo, you go down southwest to pinamungahan-carcar-barili-dumanjug-ronda-moalboal-alegria (which is less frequented by commuters and bus company for the toledo-pinamungahan route)or 2. from toledo, you traverse the toledo-naga road that is on the southeastern side of cebu then carcar-barili and so forth. the second one though has more scenic spots (has more vehicles passing by).

Actually more or less parehas ra but if done during holy week I would recommend # 1 as the crossing in Amlan is more frequent and no need to prebook. If you choose the San Carlos route, a lot of people are travelling and you might have difficulty getting your vehicle on the ferry in San-Carlos. If you choose this route, I suggest you prebook and get your vehicle's bill of lading in advance.
