Hello MODs,

I'm just gonna be straight to my point. I just have a little concern regarding buy and sell section.
I believe there are some sellers here in Buy and Sell Section that post a very high selling price for their items to the point that it becomes unreasonable and somewhat scum-like.

On top of that, they are giving false information and hype to the public about their items. On exception though, I understand that there are also sellers who didn't know that the current brand new prices of their items in the market have already depreciated and some had just a hard time letting go of their items at a lower price especially if they had bought it at a high price. (It's either you base your price a little lower than the lowest brand new price in the market since it is already 2nd hand or just keep it for personal use if you really can't let it go) This way, Buy and Sell Section would become a fairer place to do transactions.

But there are some sellers who really intentionally give false hype, information, and current brand new price in the market and try to give assuring words.. (e.g. Just check it yesterday sa SM 17K pani siya / Dual core ni sya boss, I just read the review / Uu bro, latest gen ni sya) What makes it worst is that there are people who buy them. And this is the real issue of my concern.

I have been trying to reply to those post with concrete facts by posting web links if possible and tried to give correct information to the public as to hardware information and current market price if there is any.. And sad to say, had already been accused of thread crapping... I'm just trying to defend our fellow istoryan's hard earned money and really felt sorry to those who fell to scumbags.. I know I am not the proper authority to do this but there are people who are being taken advantage of even as you are reading this post now. I know our problem with scums here in istorya is very real and some of us are taking the initiative to post their pictures to make aware the public if we are lucky to have it.

To MODs, I humbly implore your authority to watch over us both buyers and sellers to review each and every post. I suggest you put one or several MODs in a section wherein he or she is very knowledgeable about its hardware, trend, and current pricing. He should have the authority to suggest to the seller of its pricing if the price is deemed unreasonably high and give correct facts if the given information is faulty. I hope our MODs have the power to more than just mere moderating who bumps the most or who craps threads.

I certainly don't want our beloved Istorya.net become a "Buy at your Own Risk" website. Because for me, this is more than just a place for Buy and Sell... more than just a place for interacting with fellow Cebuanos with common interests... for me, Istorya.net is also a way of life.

Dapat before buying an item make a quick search about it and try to search the item's current price.. thats the buyers responsibility not the mods.. MODS are just members who volunteer to make this site descent.

Maybe people just don't understand that what they bought for 10k last year is not gonna sell for 9k (kay beloved) today.

I had enough of this "BUYER's RESPONSIBILITY" B.S.~! I know buyers should also make quick searches but I believe it is also the seller's responsibility to let the buyer know everything about his/her product. You know your item more than the one who is buying... Dili lang kay kung basta mahalin na imong item okay na. Try to imagine if ang imong igsoon or tatay nga naa sa probinsya, nag internet kay nakadungog about istorya.net buy and sell. Nag search intawn for a laptop kay e gift sa iyang anak nga mo graduate, gi baligya ang kabaw para makapalit, then ang napalit is not his money's worth... what if sa imoha ni mahitabo... This is just my insinuation but it could also be a real story... My point is, ang gipaningkamotan intawn nga kwarta masayang ra ug dali rang gi ilad sa uban... If ikaw nag sell kag processor, then naay ni inquire about pila ang imong proc... you can ask him kung unsa iyang motherboard to see if compatible raba or for whatever reason why iya paliton ang proc nimo... para lang pud ni gud as a simple gesture of help sa mga buyers para way mahay... if mahalin na ang item, mo ingon ra raba dayon nga di na nako problema bro kay abi nakog compatible sa imong socket. And a lot of these situations happened in the past, is happening today, and will happen in the future if wala tay buhaton nga collective efforts to extend a helping hand and a friendly gesture. Let's just assume di tanan dri parihas ka sweto sa uban people...

TS i appreciate your being proactive in the community since it's really true and happening (not just in this forum site). however, for your concern it is really a big task for a Moderator and i doubt it can be implemented effectively should they decide to take your suggestion. it also requires more time on top of what they currently allot.. well maybe if Boss Beor would "hire" someone for that specific task you suggested.

some practical reasons i'd like to state is that the item being sold is not of their property (the thread posted is... but not the items). The seller always has all the rights from the fact that it is their item/s. controlling the price through means of Moderator intervention on each Seller's thread, sounds like "our Government to take control/regulate oil prices".

and for the buyer, like the fellow istoryan said "buyer's responsibility".. even in the real world, product information is always sought out before buying the actual product itself most especially if it is of "High" value. that action has never been a "task" nor a "duty", thus, it is called "Responsibility". YES it's BS! we all know it but sadly not all has it. if we can't be responsible, we'll eventually be seeing ourselves in a "life-sucking" abyss and "buying something not our money's worth" is one example of it. Never rely on the Seller to tell you something about the product on sale.. common sense.

let me highlight this VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER, "RISK" is always part in the Internet / World Wide Web / Cyberworld.. Everyone can be Anyone! by that itself already defines the "RISK" im talking about. It's more public and more risky than being in Colon St. where snatchers are just standing right next to you prying on someone's mobile phone or jewelry. If your suggestion could actually be feasible enough, Ebay would have done it a long time ago.

i would rather assume that not all of us here can be trusted.. that way i'll always stay vigilant on every transaction i make.

about pud sa price, wla tay hold ana kay ila manang items, dpende manpud na sa supply and demand, ma daan or ma bag-o ma usab gyud na ang price, dpende nana sa bargaining tali ninyong duha sa buyer nd seller.

kanang mga buyers pud f dili au enhance sa mga items nga gnahan paliton, pm lng mo sa mga sinaligan diri sa buy and sell sa computer accessories sama nila triple_m, rainerus, renren ug uban pang ngilngig sa kana nga departamento.

BUYER's RESPONSIBILITY.. mao ra jud na. wala may maka bo-ot kung pilay e presyo sa gi baligya sa seller. kung wa ka ka uyon sa presyo or sa pag describe, wa may mu pugos ug palit... diba? Ngita lain. suroy daw sa colon, nya kasab-e ang tindahan nga mas mahal ug presyo kay sa uban.. adto sa SM, pag wild didto nganon mahal ilang sine kas sa country mall.. it's not about knowledgabilty about product prices and descriptions.. it's about simple human LOGIC..

to make it short.. dont look for a complicated solution, to a very simple issue. ayaw ug over-analyze. but then again, wala man say maka bo-ot nimo kung mao na imong opinyon.

believe it or not it's still gonna be the buyer's responsibility,. imo naman sad guro nang part boss as buyer na mresearch ka sa item or manganvass ka lain,. like mpalit ba gud ka 2nd hand car drecho kay gpasaligan lang kag mao ni mao na,. mresearch pud cgro ka oi,. d pud cgro ka dre2cho palit,....out of jurisdiction naman ni sa mga MODs, stated naman jud na sa Rules and Regu,.

if m.ingon ka nga at at least butangan ug mod dri para mtabang ug review sa posts, it's like m.ingon ka sa mga mall na ilang suroyon ang ilang mga space renters nya mag check perme sa mga butang,. dakooooo jud kau na nga trabahoon,. hehe
