pls close thx...............
The D3000 is very user friendly but it is a bit outdated. I suggest you'd go for the newer version which is the D3100 which has better specs but still is user-friendly. One thing I like about the D3000/D31000 is that it has a "guide" mode that teaches the user on how to use the camera on different settings. You can browse Youtube for more info about the features of this camera.
There is no need for a CD installer to connect both cameras on a PC if you're shooting with JPEG. However, if you will be shooting RAW, you might be needing a program to convert you RAW files to JPEGs (a CD installer for this program might or might not be included in the camera package you're buying).
One disadvantage of the D3000 is that it doesn't have a video mode. Another one is that it does not perform well on low light settings as compared with the latest models. If you have the resources, again I suggest you invest on the D3100 or the D5100. Both cameras have video modes and they perform insanely well in low light situations. But if you're planning on shooting any videos anytime soon and you just want to take pictures where the sun is up then I guess the D3000 is the camera for you.
I myself am a D3100 and so far it hasn't failed me yet. The "guide" mode allows users to shift from using the "auto" settings to the "manual" settings very quickly.
bro almost all digital cameras today probably dont need a CD or installer to get connected sa PC,
you just need to buy a card reader and plug the card to the reader then to the PC and your set...
Shutter Count - it is your shutter life in short all cameras has a shutter life, more likely entry level dslr like the d3000 can go to 200,000 shots above but that does not mean 200k rana kutob it can go more way far that those numbers, estimated life lang na niya by the manufacturer...
d3000 - i've used different entry level & semi pro dslr (canon, nikon, sony, pentax, samsung, olympus), based on my ideas thou we all say "its not on the gadget, its on the photographer" there are also some difference when you choose a camera, study the camera you want and its rivals, distinguish unsay advantage and disadvantages nila, different camera/brand, different IQ, for me IQ is what i look for, how the camera renders the colors and tones...
with regards sa d3000 its ok but its not the new, low in features, pero if want to grow in photography i suggest not this camera..
good day
