Here we go again - this natural tragedy is not the first time, this has happen before... apparently we filipinos have the attitude of "Ningas-Kugon", where's the lessons learn? just because the place rarely hit by a natural calamity it doesnt mean we will be complacent, i understand that some people after tragedy will find point and find fault on others, its normal its our coping-mechanism...
but the problem is WE NEVER LEARNED, we know that leaving near the river and any waterways is dangerous why the hell we still live there?, govt didnt help? corruption? no place to stay?, give me a break we are to be blame our self's, our stupidity and dumbest... i was born on an era where all people worked and persevere, not this generation of "HELP-ME-GIVE-ME" that let the govt to help them and not finding a way for themselves.. apparently this of generation daghan ko nakit-an ug common na kaayo even diri sa istorya...
its not the matter what the govt can do to you, but what can you do to your self... we know our personal situation why wait for somebody to act...
thats why i insists of stricter implementation of bldg and zoning law... criminalizing squatters coz most of this people are the one leaving near the riverbanks...
let's do our share... this govt is fcked-up.... lets help this beautiful country and not its govt....
let the lessons be learned this time and not another NINGAS-KUGON
i dont normally pray... but i offer my sympathy to them... couple of my cousins from CDO are still missing or we dont have any news...
