Fluctuating RPM

Why would my RPM's drop a bit when i turn my lights on? Could it mean my alternator is going bad? I idle around 750 rpm's and when I turn my lights on it drops to around 650 or so. Turn them off and it goes back up. Is this normal? Would volt stabilizer help?

Turning the lights on is adding load to your alternator which in effect adding load to your engine turning the alternator.

Normal rana nga mo down jud ang rpm inig on sa headlight, dapat magadjust ka sa idle rpm sa imu engine dapat load tanan..

@dhingardz, Hehe..murag dli pa ko ka afford b16 pre.. Hehe.. Out of reach pa.. unless pwede i-utang nya 5 yearsto pay,pwede kaau.. Nyahaha!

@krsuan, If maka help ung volt stabilizer, can u suggest a good brand? I think ok pa ung battery ko, but i notice na may times na malaki ung bawas ng RPM ko if i'll up some load. Minsan nagbabawas ng 200-300k rpm's..

By the way, carbureted ang auto ko..

tas-an na nimo gamay ang imong idle bai? usik lang gasolina pero mu stabilize baya para di pud hago imong battery.
