Can someone tell me why filipinos did not like being colonized by the Spanish?

the spanish regime was an epic fail! since then, there was no sense of secularism in our country! ang simbahan ang matuman kung unsay buhaton sa gobyerno! and you think this isn't happening in the present time? ang cbcp sigig panghilabut! mga hilabtanun sila!

Then why did filipinos refuse getting colonized by America as well? LOL

maybe because the filipinos were thinking that it would greatly affect their being filipino

i'm not sure, as if nabuhi ba ko atong panahon

Hmmm. If you ask me, i think filipinos didnt want to be "Mixed". Which is really selfish. Like how chinese families want their children to marry only Chinese people and hence rebelled to keep the Filipino-ness. But i could be wrong. Just my opinion.

Awa di ba Tagalog ang national language. Tanan agencies are based in Manila.. process ka ug anything..it has to be approved in Manila.

We are now colonized by the Manila government.

Did not like I don't think so coz just look at our TV shows and movies. Many actors/actresses idolized by Filipinos are so called "mestisas" or "mestisas" that look like of Spanish descent. In fact, many Filipinos still have that colonial mentality that "fairer is better".
