Default Internet Cafe biz, is it still worthwhile?

is an internet cafe business still worthwhile? i have read so many conflicting articles about the business. i used to think that it is a saturated industry but some say that regardless of the mushrooming of cafes in our country, they say it is still worthwhile because because a bigger chunk of our population still cannot afford a simple PC and internet access plus the boom of online gaming.

anyway, i would just like to know how much capitalization will be needed for about an initial of 15-20 units. what are the things i need and spend on?

any help and advice will be most welcomed. thanks!

location na lng na bawion, dugay na kaayo ROI ana karon na panahon tungod sa price competetion, dn gapadulong na naa mga pc and dsl ang mga house.. unlike 3yrs ago nga tag 30 to 50 ang per hours unya pede kapirata sa microsoft, pero karon u have to buy a legit software kay kung dili imo ra kacompetensya ang motug an sa anti-piracy team nga u r using not ligit software so in short imo investment imbargohon samot kag kabankcrupt kung mahitabo mn galing....

in my opinion dili naman tingali worthwhile ang internet cafe. First of all, rates are getting lower these days averaging 15 pesos per hour due to competition. Kadugayan unsa nalang ang rates 5 to 10 pesos? Second, its in gaming where an internet cafe really gets its income so you must have a really nice gaming rig. And a gaming setup is more expensive than your regular day to day / internet browsing only pc. Third, you need to install legit softwares with license like MS Windows OS... so another expense napud. Fourth, even if you are in a good location, chances are you will have a competitor popping up in your area or even next door very soon! so reduce napud ka sa imo rates.... Fifth, by the 3rd year ang imo mga PC outdated na... they will be very slow compared to your competitors brand new PCs so you will have to either upgrade them or buy new ones just to remain competitive and its like starting all over again...
