Tithes for the Roman Catholics

Just for discussion regarding tithes specific to RC. I know naay lain interpretation depende sa religion.

Di kaayo ko religious but I believe in tithes.

Now here's my dilemma. I prefer to give my tithes to my friends who have medical emergencies and soon sponsor qualified but poor students.

Does it state in the bible nga dapat ang 10% sa church jud mo adto? Or it doesn't matter asa padulong as long as it's given freely to help others?

Since you mentioned man na ROMAN CATHOLICS , it was never a an intention of the church to ask money , they do solicite for a cause and the rest are DONATIONS from the kindness of the parishioners heart no matter how small it is .

Biblically speaking, tithing is a law for Israel, not for Christians.

2 Cr 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

i agree, and also returning back to God his portion is actually a Christian duty but I am not so particular about the percentage. it depends on how big your love for the work for God's glory.
Here's a simple idea to think about.. if we can spend big amount of money to our vices or pleasures without any hesitations then how much more to the work of God knowing that He's the one sustaining us and the safety of our family? it's so ironic to think that we are counting on things wev given for God's glory then mangutang pa gani or iprenda ang butang para lang matuman ang fleshly desires.

But still important to know where this money is going...be wise enough coz some organizations are not so transparent about financial matters of the church.
