How to become an insurance agent or broker or financial adviser?

Anybody naa idea how to become an insurance agent or broker or financial adviser? For example apply ko sa philam life (example lang, I am not endorsing that company ) Unsa mga requirements? Wala pa ko time to approach any of the insurance company so mag ask lang una ko diri sa mga naay idea. My main reason is para maka manage ko sa ako money para dili na ko magbayad para sa agent at the same time I might get somebody to get insurance from me so naa pa ko commission.

Please share sa kadtong naay idea unsay requirement if mag apply ka as an agent plus ok ba na ako main reason?

The best way is to give these companies a visit. If not, Google is your bet friend.

As for insurance companies, ang nahibal.an nako kay by invitation only but Im sure naay uban pwede nimo applyan just call lang.

Unfortunately, di kaayo ko ganahan sa ila products gi offer, and lisod mo offer ug product nga you don't believe in.

Since ang gusto ra nimo ikaw ang mo manage sa imoha financial products, join IMG bai. Naa ray fee but wala man sad ka quota i-maintain. Which you can't do in other financial companies.

BTID ug Kaiser palang bai, nindut na kaayo nga products and as far as I know walay pareho sa Kaiser, ug walay willing mo offer(or short ra kaayo ang terms) ug BTID hehe.

Taking back what I said in the previous post.. haha. To those who are interested or are just curious on how to become a financial planner or an insurance agent, you have to pass the IC (insurance commission) examination. Training/Lectures are provided by life insurance agents.

Sa life insurance, there are two exams that you have to pass:

[1] Ordinary Life (pure life insurance)
[2] VULs (life insurance and investment)

Of course, separate ang training ani. In Philam Life, two days ang training ani (one day each) and it is for free.
Regarding the exam, there is a P500 fee for each exam. If you fail, it's non-refundable.

Take note, ang insurance commission ang magconduct sa examination and not the life insurance companies.

An additional note, if you're a licensed broker in Philam Life, you're also entitled to sell PAMI (mutual funds). Philam Life also provide training for CIS (Certified Investment Solicitor) certification. The law requires that only licensed advisers, agents, and distributors are allowed to sell insurance and investment products. That is to ensure safety to the investors and clients and credibility to the industry as well.
