WARNING: LONG WALL OF GEEK TEXT
I've used the G9 for about 2-3years and for me it is the best mouse in terms of comfort and the size/form is perfect for my grip, The G9x has the Avago 9500 sensor which has positive acceleration upto 5% but I believe logitech has modified the SROM on the mouse and eliminated the acceleration or reduced it close to 0%
The Death adder is quite large for mouse if you prefer the grip style on the G9, Im currently using the Mamba and its very comfortable even more comfortable than the G9 for me but the issue I have with the mouse is that my very unique grip style is not suitable for the size of the mouse.
Basically, the Mamba is the wireless version of the death adder using another sensor ( Philips Twin Eye )
The death adder has one of the best sensor in the market ( Avago 3888 ) nothing still beats IR-LED based sensors.. not even laser based.
The Imperator uses the same PTE sensor and is about 5-6mm shorter than the DA.
If you want to go with razer I highly recommend you get the Death Adder black edition since it has no plastic sides, if you want the G9x i would recommend you get the G9 instead as it has a better sensor.
Aside from the sensor Razer and Logitech also offers a different feel for their mouse, for example Razer places their micro-switch (clickers) on a spot behind the wheel, for me this requires more force to push and about 1/3 more travel distance as compared to logitechs position which is located dead center on the spot where you click.. others prefer this as it is more of a "positive" response for them.
For the scroll wheel logitech has free spin mode ( no friction ) and regular mode but requires more force to perform a middle click, razer requires significantly lesser force to press, something like 60g vs 190g
try buying this
Saitek Cyborg Gaming Mouse called R.A.T.

The RAT9 uses the same PTE sensor as the Mamba but they need to fix the cursor jitter on the mouse its horrible and the tracking is somewhat off, aside from that the mouse tilts a little but on the palm rest forcing you to either slightly bend the bottom support or use it as a claw grip mouse. Battery is also pretty damn hard to remove. Build quality feels cheap due to the plastic parts used. I do hope they improve the build quality on the next version since I like the feel of the mouse.. if it did not have such issues I would be using this mouse now.. currently juggling around the Razer Mamba and Logitech G700, X8 on the way too.

Steelseries Ikari Laser...... relieved my wrist from aches and pain.
The aesthetics is really good coz it fits as an office and gaming mouse.
Pero between the two I'd get the logitech.
