go for 8ms or lower response time lcd, if you want to use it for gaming.

samsung has a 17" lcd with 8ms response time that is below 15k. forgot the model number though.

it depends on the game sad, kung FPS/action games ka pirmi much better ang lower response time, pero kung real time strat ok rana ang 12ms, heck even with my 12ms Samsung 710N, i don't see any ghosts

at 8 ms, it is equivalent to 125Hz refresh rate (1 /.008s = 125Hz). remember the CRT flicker is only obvious at a refresh rate of 60Hz and below

same as with an LCD leaving a ghost at 125Hz (ghosting not flickering, LCDs dont flicker)

at 125Hz, you wont even know that there is such thing as ghosting (your eyes cannot catch it)

    im using LG Flatron L1732S (17" 1280x1024)
    8 ms response time
    viewing angles 170V/170H
    700:1 contrast ratio
    *only available in silver black

another good LCD is Samsung 740N (17" 1280x1024)
    8ms
    160/160 angles
    600:1 contrast

    they are around 10-11 K

you have to take note that 17" and 19" non-widescreen LCDs are 5:4 (SXGA) aspect ratio versus the standard 4:3 aspect ratio for CRTs. most games (if not widescreen) assume you have 4:3 aspect ratio monitor.

be sure to set you resolution to the native LCD resolution or else there will be distortion.
