Mao ni ang story sa akong family.... Akong papa is a seaman but ang iyang ihatag nga allotment sa akong mama is only 10 or 20 %.... Kanang sakto ba gyud na nga ihatag para sa usa ka seaman? Unsa man gyud ang saktong allotment or percentage para ihatag sa asawa?

Does it go to the family's food, utilities, etc? Or is this part of the 20% already?

dapat jud ka mo hatag og atleast 70% man lang kay ang imong asawa baya mag budget, ang kuyaw

As far as I know 20% is paid onboard to the seaman and 80% MUST be remitted to the Phil. The seaman is given 2 options 1.) either the full 80% goes to the wife or parents if still single and 2.) He may divide it into 2 allotments, a portion for the wife and portion for his own/joint account or any person he designated/trusted.

Discretion na sa seaman mismo kon pilay iyang ehatag or na sabutan sa wife for the household budget kay naa sad baya mga wives nga gastador,looy sad ang nag trabaho wala nay ma abutan pag uli niya thats why it is advisable for the seaman to split the allotment into 2, like opening another account,,,, it maybe "and" joint account as forced savings para safe since the wife or husband cannot withdraw w/o the signature of the other.

Dapat mao jud ni ang buhaton aron pag uli niya naa pay nahabilin sa iyang kwarta para pang standby and processing of his documents when he wants to sail back.

For the part of the wife, she must ask and read the contract/allotment slips/salary breakdowns of his husband provided by the agency para well informed sya on how much his husband earns and where all the money goes.....lisod na karon panahuna!

this is optional....and depending on the company....
akong papa sauna kay murag 50% tingali hatag sa akong mama....

TS - murag lisud na nga kahimtang dah... i-research lang na imong papa... kung maapas kwarta ninyo, pa-imbestigar.....

i don't want to speculate though labi pag murag bongga or mohatag gyud inig abot niya....pero kung dili mohatag gani bisan inig uli, aw, murag lain nana...

Mao man sad ni akong papa oh... sauna tarong pa muhatag but nahibong nami pila ka years wa namay increase.. aw muincrease pero gamay ra kaayo. nangutana na akong mom sa iyang friends about sa ilang madawat nya nashock jud siya nga gamay nalang ligas jud sa ilang madawat to think nga ilang mga husband kay under sa akong papa. Naka-porma na diayg lain... aww buwaaaag. Hehehe.

Hopefully di lang unta ni mao ang case sa imo TS.
